Bible Passage: Matthew 14:22-33
Key Verse:
“He said, ‘Come.’ Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.” (Matthew 14:29)
1/ The Bible encourages us to walk by faith.
“He said, ‘Come.’” Matthew 14:29a
God always invites us to step out of our comfort zones and trust Him.
2/ Faith always leads to action.
“Then Peter got down out of the boat…”Matthew 14:29b
True faith isn’t just about words; it must be accompanied by concrete actions.
3/ You will never grow unless you walk.
“Then Peter got down out of the boat…” Matthew 14:29b
Just like a child needs to walk to grow, we must walk by faith to mature in the Lord.
4/ You may fail, but remember Jesus is always ready to take your hand.
“When he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, ‘Lord, save me!’ Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. ‘You of little faith,’ he said, ‘why did you doubt?’” Matthew 14:30-31
Sometimes we fail, but Jesus is always there to help and lift us up.
5/ Reasons most people stay in the boat:
Fear
Old mindset
Not knowing who Jesus is
Lack of knowledge of God’s Word
Past experiences
Doubt Past failures
6/ It’s time to step out of your comfort zone:
Some of you are trusting God for healing – take a step of faith by declaring God’s Word, joining a prayer service, or asking someone to pray for you.
For financial breakthrough – start giving, plan for saving, and work towards paying off debts.
For marriage – start praying, reading books on marriage, prepare yourself, and talk to others.
For ministry – start praying, visiting, connecting with people, and sharing Jesus with someone.
Walking by faith isn’t always easy, but it’s the path that leads to growth and blessings in the Lord.
