Miep’s Testimony

Miep’s story is a profound testimony of God’s redeeming love and the transformative power of the gospel. As a single mother of four daughters, Miep faced a life of unimaginable pain and abuse at the hands of her violent, alcoholic husband. Her husband’s cruelty stemmed from the belief that she was at fault for not bearing a son, and this led to frequent beatings that nearly took her life.

One day, Miep made the brave decision to flee with her four daughters, leaving behind everything they had known, but without any documents, shelter, or money. She found herself on the streets, begging for food to feed her children, utterly destitute and without hope.

It was at this desperate moment that Pastor David To and his ministry team encountered Miep. They were out sharing the gospel when they found Miep and her daughters. Moved by compassion, they reached out to Miep, providing her with food and sharing the love of Christ. As the gospel message of hope and love was shared, Miep and her four daughters were brought to tears and accepted the love of Jesus into their hearts.

Touched by their plight, Pastor David To and his team helped Miep and her children find a place to stay and continued to support and minister to them. Slowly, their lives began to change. Miep, once broken by abuse and rejection, found strength in her faith and love in her new Christian family. She was able to secure a job to support her family, and her four daughters were embraced by the local church, where they grew in their faith and were actively involved.

Through the help of some women in the church, Miep’s daughters were able to receive an education, and they were later accepted into a Catholic school. This marked a new chapter in their lives. What was once a future of uncertainty and despair was now filled with hope, love, and purpose. The whole family was transformed by the power of God’s love, finding peace, healing, and a community that embraced them.

Miep and her daughters continue to grow in faith, now with a hopeful outlook on life, thanks to the grace and love they encountered through Pastor David To and his ministry team. Their story stands as a testimony of how God rescues, restores, and redeems even the most broken lives.
