7 Things the Bible Says about Boldness

1. A clear manifestation when one is filled with the Holy Spirit is Boldness.

“And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.” – Acts 4:3

2. Boldness is essential to walk the Christian life and serve the Lord.

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God, who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.” – 2 Timothy 1:7-9

3. Boldness is rewarded by God.

“Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward.” – Hebrews 10:35

4. Intimacy with the Lord (knowing Him) is the foundation for boldness.

“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.” – Acts 4:13

5. Prayer brings boldness.

“Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.” And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.” – Acts 4:29-31

6. Boldness is the mark of the righteous.

“The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion.” – Proverbs 28:1

7. Because the Lord is with us and always helps us, we can always live boldly.

“For He Himself has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’ So we may boldly say: ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?'” – Hebrews 13:5-6
